WEBVTT
00:00.910 --> 00:03.960
I will now explain the rules.
00:04.870 --> 00:10.250
The winner must defeat the dantalion,
a beast with an abyssal depth rating of 8.
00:10.920 --> 00:13.720
Are you familiar with dantalions?
00:13.720 --> 00:16.180
They can read people's minds.
00:16.680 --> 00:18.430
They basically look like big monkeys,
00:18.430 --> 00:21.720
and they read minds
with the third eye on their foreheads.
00:22.140 --> 00:24.640
They have crafty, cruel personalities.
00:24.940 --> 00:31.230
Seekers who've failed to defeat them
in the past have been tortured to death.
00:31.610 --> 00:34.570
That's enough.
Thank you for your description.
00:35.010 --> 00:40.620
The Winged Knights and Blue Beyond
will compete to slay one such beast.
00:40.620 --> 00:45.710
Whoever successfully fells it first
will be the victor.
00:45.710 --> 00:51.340
So it's cool if we take out the other party
before we go for the dantalion?
00:51.630 --> 00:55.800
As a principle, we don't kill people.
That has never changed.
00:55.800 --> 00:58.300
It's part of our core creed as a group.
00:58.300 --> 01:00.260
Rest assured.
01:00.260 --> 01:04.770
While we permit interference,
murder is against the rules.
01:05.060 --> 01:09.360
Once an opponent is down,
any further attacks are forbidden.
01:09.360 --> 01:13.030
If you choose to use restraints,
do so where there are no beasts nearby.
01:13.030 --> 01:15.530
Those are the rules.
01:15.820 --> 01:20.280
Furthermore, I'll be using my skills
to monitor the Abyss during the test.
01:20.280 --> 01:22.370
There will be no room for cheating.
01:22.370 --> 01:24.290
No objections here.
01:24.700 --> 01:30.330
I want more clarification on the rules
governing interference before the test.
01:30.330 --> 01:31.590
How do you mean?
01:31.590 --> 01:36.470
The other day, their elf nearly attacked me.
01:36.470 --> 01:38.550
I'm quite concerned for my safety.
01:38.970 --> 01:41.140
They might even set up an ambush.
01:41.140 --> 01:45.060
Noel, we're very sorry about that night.
01:45.560 --> 01:46.680
Please accept our apologies.
01:47.010 --> 01:49.520
You think I buy that?
01:50.770 --> 01:52.650
My request is simple.
01:53.020 --> 01:56.610
Instead of just forbidding
any interference before the test,
01:56.610 --> 02:02.370
make it, "All members must be present
and in tip-top shape on the day of the test."
02:03.580 --> 02:07.080
Very well. We can add that to the rules.
02:07.750 --> 02:12.840
Lastly, this test is a special case.
It will not happen again.
02:12.840 --> 02:17.090
Therefore, we would like for you
to stake everything on this.
02:17.380 --> 02:21.800
Whichever party loses the test will disband.
02:23.970 --> 02:28.810
You will further be barred
from partying up again in the future.
02:29.270 --> 02:32.940
Violate this, and your Seeker
qualifications will be revoked.
02:33.400 --> 02:37.150
If you consent, please sign this pledge.
02:44.820 --> 02:47.290
All right, both parties have now agreed.
02:47.290 --> 02:50.040
The test will take place at noon
three days from now.
02:50.500 --> 02:56.000
Noel, this may sound arrogant, but we
have you handily beat in terms of ability.
02:56.550 --> 03:00.300
But it seems you have skills
that defy conventional wisdom.
03:00.970 --> 03:04.640
So we won't be holding back.
We'll fight with all we've got.
03:06.380 --> 03:08.720
Let me give you a useful piece of information.
03:09.980 --> 03:14.440
I recently ranked up and gained new powers.
03:15.230 --> 03:19.400
As a Strategist, I can practically see
the future using my speedy calculations.
03:19.740 --> 03:21.400
What of it?
03:21.400 --> 03:22.860
I see it now.
03:22.860 --> 03:28.120
After losing, you'll pathetically
come crying to me.
03:30.160 --> 03:33.290
We're looking forward to this, Blue Beyond.
05:05.970 --> 05:09.680
Winged Knights and Blue Beyond...
05:10.010 --> 05:13.890
I'm glad to see that you are
all here in one piece.
05:14.270 --> 05:21.570
Both parties will venture into the Abyss
and defeat the dantalion at its core.
05:25.320 --> 05:27.700
Now then, let the test begin!
05:37.370 --> 05:38.700
Noel?
05:39.380 --> 05:42.170
What exactly are you doing?
05:42.170 --> 05:44.710
Eating lunch, as you can see.
05:45.090 --> 05:48.180
That makes no sense. This is a competition.
05:48.180 --> 05:50.430
You don't have time to be eating.
05:50.430 --> 05:56.230
Haven't you heard "you can't fight on an
empty stomach" or "haste makes waste?"
05:56.230 --> 05:57.020
Wha...
05:57.020 --> 05:58.850
Y-You're such a...
05:58.850 --> 06:02.820
Since you're better and more experienced
than us, you can make the first move.
06:02.820 --> 06:04.270
Go right on ahead.
06:05.030 --> 06:06.440
Enough of your nonsense—
06:06.440 --> 06:08.320
Ignore him, Leon.
06:09.070 --> 06:14.030
We're being forced to compete against
a rookie party. That's how things stand.
06:14.910 --> 06:17.410
We're the ones running out of time here.
06:18.410 --> 06:19.420
You're right.
06:20.040 --> 06:22.670
Noel, I'm disappointed in you.
06:30.760 --> 06:33.350
The vanguard will arrive in about five minutes.
06:33.600 --> 06:35.930
All right, we'll fight them in this clearing.
06:35.930 --> 06:38.100
Everyone prepare for battle.
06:38.100 --> 06:40.270
Can I say something first?
06:40.730 --> 06:47.100
I know this isn't the best time, but I need
to tell you before things get busy.
06:47.510 --> 06:51.200
Noel Stollen came to see me the other day.
06:52.410 --> 06:59.120
He spouted one miserable lie after another
and asked me to betray the Winged Knights.
06:59.120 --> 07:00.290
What?
07:00.580 --> 07:07.750
Naturally, I said no. But he may have
approached other members, too.
07:08.010 --> 07:09.920
He came to see me as well.
07:10.630 --> 07:15.140
O-Obviously, I turned him down!
I mean, I could never betray you guys.
07:15.140 --> 07:17.970
Same here, actually.
07:18.970 --> 07:20.060
You mean...
07:20.060 --> 07:24.310
He tried to turn everyone except me?
07:24.310 --> 07:28.400
It's so stupid. We would
never turn against our own.
07:28.400 --> 07:34.410
He wasn't even making any sense.
Said that I would be free if I betrayed you.
07:34.410 --> 07:39.500
Right? It was so ridiculous,
it wasn't even funny.
07:40.160 --> 07:45.920
Forget about it. I bet he was trying
to distract us by making us suspicious.
07:45.920 --> 07:48.960
What a dirty way to operate.
07:48.960 --> 07:51.630
I'm glad we could clear the air right now.
07:51.630 --> 07:54.840
Yeah. We'd never betray the Winged Knights...
07:54.840 --> 07:57.930
No, we'd never betray you, Leon.
07:59.390 --> 08:00.600
I know that.
08:02.310 --> 08:05.480
The vanguard has picked up
the pace. They'll be here soon.
08:07.520 --> 08:09.270
Holy Shield!
08:16.490 --> 08:19.450
Let me first say that was impressive.
08:19.450 --> 08:20.540
However...
08:20.930 --> 08:24.500
You went too far in sending
these forged letters.
08:24.500 --> 08:27.460
Hey, you agreed to my plan.
08:27.750 --> 08:32.420
I don't believe I agreed
to misappropriating the guild's name.
08:32.420 --> 08:35.000
What are you going to do, disqualify me?
08:36.260 --> 08:39.760
What a rebellious boy you are.
08:39.760 --> 08:40.890
Gee, thanks.
08:42.320 --> 08:43.810
Can you win?
08:43.810 --> 08:49.400
I will. This is the way Overdeath
taught me to fight.
08:50.650 --> 08:52.610
Are ya sure about this?
08:53.010 --> 08:57.320
What if the Winged Knights defeat
the dantalion while we're sittin' here?
08:57.740 --> 09:00.830
I told you, it's all part of the plan.
09:00.830 --> 09:04.080
Those guys are strong.
That's exactly why we need to be patient.
09:04.080 --> 09:05.580
What do you mean?
09:05.580 --> 09:10.670
Even among the Winged Knights,
Leon is an excellent leader.
09:11.460 --> 09:15.420
He's not just strong. He has exceptional
decision-making ability.
09:15.720 --> 09:19.390
What's more, he has a
unique skill called Angel Wings.
09:19.390 --> 09:22.060
He was born with an accelerated mana flow.
09:22.060 --> 09:25.140
He can activate skills
at the speed of thought.
09:25.730 --> 09:29.520
It's a special gift bestowed
upon him by the heavens.
09:30.690 --> 09:35.400
However... there are times
excellence can be a burden,
09:35.900 --> 09:37.900
especially given his personality.
09:37.900 --> 09:39.240
How come?
09:39.240 --> 09:42.990
Because he's obsessed with certain victory
and the right way to do things.
09:42.990 --> 09:45.000
But what's wrong with that?
09:45.580 --> 09:49.120
The Winged Knights
will demonstrate soon enough.
09:49.710 --> 09:53.630
Believe me, we will win.
There's no question about that.
09:57.720 --> 09:59.510
I've planted the seeds.
09:59.510 --> 10:04.970
I told everyone except Leon
what's bound to happen.
10:05.850 --> 10:08.690
The Winged Knights will fall apart...
10:08.690 --> 10:10.900
because Leon is going to betray them.
10:12.020 --> 10:15.030
The Price of Being Right
10:19.920 --> 10:22.200
What are you doing here?
10:22.200 --> 10:27.200
Don't bother threatening me.
You remember the rules, don't you?
10:27.200 --> 10:30.290
You don't think this is interference?
10:30.290 --> 10:37.100
Of course not. The rule was that all members
would be present and in tip-top shape.
10:37.100 --> 10:40.520
Just approaching you in private
doesn't violate that.
10:40.520 --> 10:43.430
So no trying to chase me off
with violence, okay?
10:44.270 --> 10:47.140
Wait, is this why you requested that rule?
10:48.330 --> 10:51.900
Keim, betray the Winged Knights.
10:57.800 --> 11:00.490
Are you trying to make me
laugh myself to death?
11:00.490 --> 11:02.030
I'm being serious.
11:02.030 --> 11:04.830
So, what do I get in return?
11:04.830 --> 11:08.000
Money? Power? Or is it women?
11:08.000 --> 11:10.660
Freedom. I'll set you free.
11:12.040 --> 11:13.130
Freedom?
11:13.130 --> 11:16.960
It can't be easy trying to keep up
with someone so talented.
11:20.010 --> 11:24.930
Leon is a special Seeker.
Incredibly special, even.
11:25.340 --> 11:28.720
As his lifelong friend,
you know that better than anyone.
11:29.350 --> 11:31.730
The Winged Knights are lopsided.
11:31.730 --> 11:37.190
Even if you guys form a clan,
the rest of you won't be able to keep up.
11:37.820 --> 11:41.620
No amount of hard work and effort
can trump Leon's talent.
11:41.620 --> 11:44.610
All that awaits you is despair
at your own limitations.
11:45.190 --> 11:46.160
Keim...
11:46.450 --> 11:49.660
It's time to be free. This is your chance.
11:55.860 --> 11:59.620
You're right. We are lopsided.
12:00.120 --> 12:05.930
Still, I want to support him.
That's my job as his sworn brother.
12:05.930 --> 12:08.510
Are you really okay with that?
12:08.510 --> 12:10.890
I'm not looking for freedom.
12:11.810 --> 12:16.150
If you don't betray him,
Leon will betray you first, you know?
12:28.120 --> 12:29.910
Keim, get Vaclav!
12:29.910 --> 12:30.830
Got it!
12:30.830 --> 12:32.120
Th-Thank you.
12:32.120 --> 12:33.410
Ophelia, provide cover!
12:33.410 --> 12:34.290
Roger!
12:34.290 --> 12:39.960
Toys! Toys! Lots of toys to play with!
12:40.500 --> 12:44.170
It's been an hour since
we engaged the dantalion.
12:44.170 --> 12:48.390
We've taken out its kin, but we're
clearly at a disadvantage here.
12:49.640 --> 12:53.140
Fire Element Causation: Phlogiston!
12:55.770 --> 12:56.730
It read my attack?
12:57.690 --> 12:58.440
Useless.
12:59.820 --> 13:03.530
A cursed monkey that can read minds...
Surprise attacks won't work.
13:03.530 --> 13:06.280
But with my Angel Wings...
13:09.410 --> 13:10.700
Divine Impact!
13:13.790 --> 13:14.960
One more!
13:17.670 --> 13:19.790
Everyone dodge!
13:25.590 --> 13:28.710
Noel, we're still not movin' out?
13:28.710 --> 13:32.930
Be patient until they do
all they can and learn their limits.
13:32.930 --> 13:34.720
That'll be our cue.
13:45.890 --> 13:47.030
Ophelia!
13:48.030 --> 13:52.660
Break my toys... little by little...
13:52.660 --> 13:53.990
Fun!
13:53.990 --> 13:55.700
Everyone retreat!
13:55.700 --> 13:57.790
I'll hold it off!
13:57.790 --> 13:59.110
Holy Shield!
13:59.110 --> 14:00.380
Iron Will!
14:02.460 --> 14:08.010
Toys strong. But only you really strong.
14:08.340 --> 14:12.220
I see fear. Anxiety.
14:13.850 --> 14:17.060
Such cheap provocation.
You're just a chimp after all.
14:17.060 --> 14:19.390
Useless act strong!
14:19.390 --> 14:23.400
I read your mind. You know you can't win.
14:23.400 --> 14:25.900
No, we can't win right now!
14:25.900 --> 14:28.860
But Seekers never give up!
14:29.400 --> 14:32.070
We may lose the battle, but we'll win the war!
14:32.070 --> 14:33.580
Invincible!
14:37.200 --> 14:38.200
Ooh.
14:40.320 --> 14:43.140
Hey! Where you?
14:43.140 --> 14:45.210
Hey! Hey!
14:48.060 --> 14:49.150
Can you move it?
14:50.450 --> 14:54.020
I feel it, but I don't think I can use my bow.
14:54.020 --> 14:55.510
I'm so sorry, Leon.
14:55.510 --> 14:58.680
Don't worry about it. We haven't lost yet.
15:00.810 --> 15:01.980
Hey, guys...
15:01.980 --> 15:04.940
Listen up. I have a plan.
15:05.440 --> 15:08.610
I'll be the decoy and draw him out.
15:09.110 --> 15:13.570
When I do, use Seraphim Blade,
the Knight class's ultimate skill.
15:14.910 --> 15:17.160
No, that's too dangerous!
15:17.160 --> 15:20.660
Because it will use up all your mana?
15:20.660 --> 15:24.130
No, the problem is its area of effect!
15:24.130 --> 15:25.420
I'd hit you guys!
15:25.960 --> 15:28.170
That's why we need a decoy.
15:28.170 --> 15:33.210
Vaclav's barrier is concealing us
from any and all beasts,
15:33.630 --> 15:38.890
but any strong attack skill would collapse it.
15:38.890 --> 15:40.390
So sneak attacks are out.
15:40.700 --> 15:41.890
But that doesn't mean...
15:41.890 --> 15:44.440
Think back to that battle, Leon.
15:44.440 --> 15:47.940
When we defeated that ajatar
and made a name for ourselves.
15:56.830 --> 15:59.740
Hey! Hey!
15:59.740 --> 16:03.960
I'll lure him as far away as possible.
16:03.960 --> 16:07.210
Relax. This isn't a suicide
mission or anything.
16:07.210 --> 16:09.880
I'll avoid the blast like I did back then.
16:09.880 --> 16:12.170
Trust me, Leon.
16:18.140 --> 16:19.180
No.
16:19.540 --> 16:21.520
This is different from last time.
16:22.020 --> 16:23.820
The dantalion can read minds.
16:24.300 --> 16:26.480
It'll realize instantly that you're a decoy.
16:26.480 --> 16:29.940
Then what do we do?! If we retreat, we lose.
16:29.940 --> 16:33.780
The Winged Knights will have to disbanded,
and we'll be forced apart.
16:34.570 --> 16:35.860
There's another way.
16:36.740 --> 16:38.780
There's one more possibility.
16:39.830 --> 16:41.700
We join forces with Blue Beyond.
16:43.910 --> 16:47.380
If we work with them,
we can defeat the dantalion.
16:47.960 --> 16:50.170
That way, we won't have to sacrifice anybody.
16:50.170 --> 16:53.010
W-Wait! Then what about the test?!
16:53.970 --> 16:56.760
Let's just forget about the test.
16:57.530 --> 16:59.970
If we band together to take out the beast,
17:00.600 --> 17:05.350
we might not be approved as a clan,
but we should be able to avoid disbandment.
17:08.120 --> 17:12.860
If you don't betray him,
Leon will betray you first, you know?
17:12.860 --> 17:16.110
No way... It's just like he said.
17:16.110 --> 17:19.450
So this is what he meant.
17:19.910 --> 17:20.580
What are you—
17:20.910 --> 17:25.580
Are you serious, Leon?!
Blue Beyond is our enemy!
17:25.580 --> 17:27.960
We have to beat them! And you're saying...
17:27.960 --> 17:29.290
What else can we do?!
17:29.660 --> 17:33.140
I have to protect you all as leader!
I can't sacrifice anyone!
17:33.140 --> 17:35.510
It's the right call!
17:35.510 --> 17:37.550
You're always like this!
17:37.550 --> 17:40.350
Being right? Who cares about that right now?!
17:42.000 --> 17:44.080
Calm down, Keim.
17:44.080 --> 17:46.200
What's gotten into you? This isn't like you—
17:46.200 --> 17:50.310
I am calm! I'm thinking
about us and our future!
17:50.900 --> 17:52.270
But you...
17:52.270 --> 17:56.490
You're saying you trust our enemy,
Noel Stollen, over me?!
17:59.910 --> 18:04.160
That's right. I do trust
Noel over you right now.
18:06.120 --> 18:07.290
I see...
18:07.990 --> 18:10.750
So that's your answer.
18:17.010 --> 18:19.220
That bastard was right.
18:20.340 --> 18:23.510
You really were the traitor.
18:25.740 --> 18:29.100
Don't worry. I avoided your vitals.
18:33.190 --> 18:35.420
Keim...
18:35.420 --> 18:39.070
I've always been jealous of you, Leon.
18:39.740 --> 18:42.910
I hated that you were blessed
with talent and I wasn't.
18:44.030 --> 18:47.830
But you're my friend.
You're like my little brother.
18:48.540 --> 18:52.420
And I thought you trusted me,
so I always stuck by you.
18:53.080 --> 18:59.010
I wasn't even afraid to give my life for you.
19:00.680 --> 19:04.100
But no more. I can't do it anymore.
19:04.810 --> 19:08.470
I... want to be free.
19:10.310 --> 19:12.020
Found you!
19:15.440 --> 19:20.490
Good work clearing the way
for us, Winged Knights.
19:21.950 --> 19:27.660
Toys, toys! New toys!
19:27.660 --> 19:32.210
Nice to meet you, dantalion.
My name is Noel Stollen.
19:32.210 --> 19:36.040
Noel! Noel! My toy!
19:36.040 --> 19:40.050
Sorry, but I'm not here to be your plaything.
19:40.420 --> 19:43.430
We're fighting to the death,
you stupid chimp!
19:46.680 --> 19:48.140
Do it, Koga!
19:47.010 --> 19:47.760
BATTLE VOICE
19:48.140 --> 19:49.180
Aye!
19:54.020 --> 19:56.360
You guys... How?
19:56.730 --> 19:58.570
Just like we practiced.
19:58.570 --> 20:00.360
Calm and Serene.
20:03.660 --> 20:04.860
How?
20:04.860 --> 20:09.410
Same time as think, attack comes!
20:09.830 --> 20:15.830
Only Leon can use Angel Wings, a unique
ability that activates skills instantly.
20:16.600 --> 20:23.130
But we trained using Link so that
Koga could attack with a blank mind.
20:18.170 --> 20:23.130
MIND\h\h\hLINK
20:25.430 --> 20:27.010
Garmr Bullet!
20:31.140 --> 20:33.640
Now that's a ten million fil bullet!
20:34.200 --> 20:36.940
You... How?
20:36.940 --> 20:42.360
You think... but I can't read?
20:42.810 --> 20:48.940
Strategist's cognitive speed far
outstrips a dantalion's capabilities.
20:48.940 --> 20:52.950
I can think so fast that it
can't understand my thoughts.
20:53.330 --> 20:57.290
Turns out you're my toy, huh?
20:57.290 --> 20:59.880
Kill! Kill! Kill!
20:59.880 --> 21:02.260
Kill you!
21:02.630 --> 21:03.550
Koga!
21:03.550 --> 21:05.220
Crazy Cherry Blossoms!
21:06.760 --> 21:08.180
Saw that coming.
21:13.430 --> 21:16.730
Many thoughts... Head hurt!
21:16.730 --> 21:21.160
I switched my high-speed thinking
to high-speed parallel thoughts.
21:21.160 --> 21:25.400
For you, that must be like a massive crowd
all screaming into you ears.
21:31.280 --> 21:34.750
You pay...
21:34.750 --> 21:37.500
You pay!
21:40.170 --> 21:44.760
N-Now head no hurt!
21:47.220 --> 21:49.200
Die!
21:49.200 --> 21:51.800
Your orders: strike it dead, Alma!
21:51.800 --> 21:52.890
On it.
21:54.600 --> 21:56.810
Accel: Duodecuple!
23:35.030 --> 23:40.040
The Snake Has Wings
